1000cc's you mean- Stu sells em and Karl does- and yes on a L6 with correct mapping.

i wasnt being cocky mate,,,, you dont want to run an injector too large for your spec

 

Gareth no injector is too big if it can be mapped to run 3% CO at idle..in which karl can...i'd rather use an injector on 40% cycle rather than 95%

 

he's just asking if you realy need 1000cc ones or could get away with a 750cc MSD injector for example

 

just because its got 3% co at idle doesnt mean its the right size

 

i remember the days when peeps were happy with greys .lol

 

they dont get you as much open mouths down the pub as they did before

 

i am still happy with greys. Plently of fuel supplied from them for 400 bhp there

but are we talking 550 bhp or 800 bhp,,,, the larger the injector the lower the resalution you have too play with

 

nothing wroung with greys you just need to map it right

 

Running 1000cc injectors on a 2 ltr engine you end up with very small pulsewidths at idle. This can make it very hard to tune depending on what ECU you are running.

I'm with Gareth on this one. You don't need 1000cc injectors for 500 bhp.

At the end of the day, you can run them, but you don't really need them until 700ish bhp.

 

i would rather run a correct size injector at 80%
