Default NIP for number plate

Just had a notification of intended prosecution through, for the number plate on the car.

Plate is like this, didn't think it was too dodgy apart from the 9 having no loop at the bottom.

http://bbs.rsownersclub.co.uk/showthread.php?t=90037

F*cking boils my piss that they will do anything to get money, wouldn't mind if I was actually causing a danger by speeding etc. But when car is totally legal, and I was driving sensibly, and the only way they can get you is the loop on the 9, find it really f*cking annoying!!

Rant over!

That is a bit shit. It's clearly a 9

Number plates are going to become more and more of a contentious issue with the widespread use of ANPR tracking your every move

I've always run a single line, piss taking plate on the bike and in 12 years I've only had 3 VDRs.

One years ago when I managed to talk my way out of a speeding conviction but two this summer alone where I was stopped solely for my plate

gurne you sold the R1 mate, christ that didnt last long

oh and as for plates its cause the specs cameras hav issues reading em mate,,,,,,,,, or as i got told by the old bill, if i run over a kid he cant see what the reg of the car was so i could get away with murder,,,,,,,,,,, like hes gonna remember the FRONT plate of my car just before i hit the fooker and not have time to read the legal one on the rear

not to mention ive killed him so he wouldnt be able to tell anyone the reg anyway unless he also wrote it down before he died

but moral of the storey is run legal plates and dont gie yourself hassle for no reason

gracie why the attitude mate,,,,,,,,, its not like your plate was legal at all on the cossie,,, the front one was more illigal than the rear,,,,, which also wasnt legal

find it a strage reply from a mod considering you done the same thing

Ginge - what attitude? If you want attitude, I'll reply with some attitude

I was merely making a point that its not the sole reason he is having problems with his number plate

Loads of money in breaking bikes

Even with the fooked motor it's worth more in bits than it was as a complete running bike!

Dunno if they are still going but there was a company called Full Speed Apart that would buy brand new bikes and break them!

Just bad luck mate.

I don't exactly give my bikes an easy time but they are well looked after.
I've not had chance to peer into the motor to see what exactly went wrong yet!

Never heard of a Jap sports bike motor letting go before

I've just been on to my insurance company and they're delivering my hire bike on Monday, a 2005 Gixxer 6

Phoned police today and is non endorsable, so should just get fixed penalty fine. Would have been less annoyed if the lazy copper had bothered pulling me over to point out what was wrong with the plate rather then just issue a NIP in the post.

cause you never realised it wasnt legal when you bought the plate,,,,,,, the fact youy had to request the plate to look like that and the fact they state on the bill " this is non road legal and for show use only" never gave subtle hint that you would actualy need a copper to pull you over to inform you that its no legal

you sound worse than the drunk drivers old line of
" why arnt you out there catching real criminals "

do me a favour, when you pop oput to post off the cheque could to also make a visit to toysRus , buy some lego, build a bridge and

GET FUCKING OVER IT !!!!

cheers
