Default electrical or mechanical?

just rebuilt my s1 engine, went to start it and its not gettin any fuel, the pump is priming fine and the fuel is getting to the distributor unit but no further, done the usual checks undoing various banjos and checking the flap etc,

is it sumthin electrical or wot??

Have you played with the mixture screw on the metering head at all?

And when you crank it over, does the flap bob up and down?

havent touched the screw, the flap doesnt budge unless i push it down myself

check all pipes, turbo pipes, intercooler pipes, every boost hose mate..

The flap won't move up and down much, so it may not be easy to spot from inside the car when you're cranking.

plenty of gimps around to help. i was reading a similar thread about the same prob fixed by jamsport so i have ideas now! all i need is a day off work!
