Default S2 BRAKE SYSTEM

IVE PUT 2 NEW BRAKE PIPES ON THE REAR OF MY S2 AND A NEW MASTER CYLINDER BLED ALL THE BRAKE LINES NO AIR IN IT . AND STILL NO BRAKES WHEN YOU PRESS THE BRAKE PEDAL A BIT ITS OK ..... BUT FULLY PRESS THE PEDAL FUCK ALL CAN ANYBODY HELP ??????????

Did you bleed it with the wheels on?

As if you bleed it with the wheels off and car in the air, something to do with the load sensors at the back making it not bleed properly, someone will explain more

yes mate i know all about load sensors . I had the wheels still shit brakes

might be best using a auto bleed kit like the ones u use off the spare wheel this helps push any air bubbles out!!!

it does take allot to move a big air lock!

Are you running discs on the back or standard drums?

Ive used the auto bleed kit with a spare wheel and its still the same And yes its got a rear disc conversion 4x4 saffy ones i think

ive had masses of troubles with mine.
are they on upside down like mine are?
if the nipple points down then thats your problem.
the only cure is to take calipers off and bleed them the right way up then re fit them.
you will get quite a bit of air come out trust me!

cheers mate just gone outside n had a look and your right the nipples are at the bottom I'll take the calipers off tomorrow and have a go I'll let you know how I get on

well there u go u missed the all important information!!!

the cossie calipers on the rear as said above have the nipple facing down wards!!!!

unbolt the caliper and just turn it round to the top whilst still on the disc then bleed it up like that !

u'll find that works for u straight away !

This is such a nightmare problem i was tearing my hair out when i did mine, especially after spilling all the brake fluid over everything in the engine bay to change the master cylinder, only to have the same problem
