Clifford G5 Avantguard 5 fitting instructions
Does anyone know where I can get these or download them from..??
I would like to fit this Alarm myself if possible, the Alarm has already been removed professionally from an EsCos.

It should be pretty much self explanatory assuming they have re-labelled all the wires thoroughly when they uninstalled it.

If they havent you are fucked and wont be able to!

A pro clifford installer wont be able to refit it unless you have labelled the wires when you unfitted it.

Chip is talking bollocks (again), you do not need everything labelled.

Manoj, Ill delve deeper for the fitting instructions, It was in a little white manual that came with the alarm.

did you get the valet switch, LED and fob ok?

Really?

Fuck knows how, lol

Certainly most installers wont then, but i stand corrected on the fact that some obvioulsy can

Although i guess if the wires always come out in the same place its possible to look at one that is labelled and compare?

Clifford technical support told me there was no way of idetifying the wires reliabley like that though (as you just have a pack of identical black wires that they reckon dont come out in the same place every time).

But thanks for correcting me if thats the case

strange isnt clifford black wired ..apart from the wire ends

if your a alarm tech.. you cut off the id tags when you connect them

or they where slip over tags pull off before connect ..but still number or colour coded ...

so i have been told ..old freind worked for lazerline ..Scorpion car alarms

basic merc car alarms back in the old days....

Indeed, i fail to see how you can identify the wires again, unless its possible to tell by the resistance of them or similar?

Fair enough.

Nice to know that there is someone out there capable of undoing it when some numpty rips all the wires out without labelling it

Thats no use to him without the wires labeled though, he will need to identify the wires before he can do anything with it

Plus isnt the avantgarde 5 based on the 650 which is totally different install to the 600, as one is a G5 and one is a G4 and there are quite a few changes?

The G4 Clifford concept 600 was made at the Clifford factory And all G5 products are made at the Directed factory and yes all the wiring colours have been changed.
