I'm sure Dan would like to know for sure too as we are both after S1 parcel shelves. We know the Mk3 ghia shelves were the same as S1's. My 1983 3i shelf looks the same as the S1 shelf but with the speaker holes cut in the back not in the front like a S1 shelf. Is this the only difference? Thing is, i don't know if my 3i shelf is original. Were the RS 1600i shelves the same? How did ordinary MK3 shelves differ from S1 shelves. Can anyone shed any light? cheeRS

 

dont know the answer to your question, but i found this in a mk3 orange ghia with the black stripes on the bottom of door. it had been there for about 5 yrs accorcing to the guy I gave the Ł5 to for it

It was a shity brown rusty colour, so I painted it Volvo grey from Halfords I did post a pic somewhere on her before it got painted

Dry I've got one sorted mate!

Dal Xr knew a guy who had tracked an RS1600i and kept the interior, including the Parcel shelf! He went and bought it off the guy and took it to Ford Fair for me!

It's Black which is the wrong colour for a Series 1 but the rest of my boot is black anyway so it suit's quite well!

Best thing about it is it's totally mint condition and uncut, so no speakers holes at all!

Oh, and I paid a tenner for it! So MASSIVE thanks to Dal!
