Default fao all tuners ZVH question

my flatmate has just put a 2.1 zvh in his FRST
Spec : 2.1 with low comp pistons, stage 3 head with cam, stg 3 t3 turbo beige injectors, it is running a frst flywheel and ap clutch, etc
we got to the point last night where we could start it up but when it starts everything sounds fine but it starts to rev it self and if we don't switch it off i think it would hit the limiter it shoots up really fast. we have checked that the throttle cable is not held open and we just can't figure it out. could it be because he has a frst flywheel and the cps is picking it up wrong or maybe because he has beige injectors on but its not mapped for them because it used to have standard injectors but he bought the beige for the new engine. any help is appreciated

Even if the flywheel was out of alignment or something or the injectors were providing too much fuel it would not rev like that.

Its recieving to much air. Check the idle speed control valve, and check for any air leaks. Things such as not having the servo vacum hose off can be providing too much air etc.

Matt.

Might be the ISCV stuck open letting air bypass, try and disconnect the plug if it still does it try tapping it with a rubber hammer.

If that still don't work disconnect the hose from the charge carrier pipe and block both openings.

we tried disconnecting the idle valve and blocking the hole and it still did it. the engine seems to rev to quick for it to be an air leak but we have checked all the hoses and it still seems to be doing it. yes it is running frst management and cps it is booked in for a unichip but he wanted to run it in first

This is deffinatly an air problem as too much fuel would simply run rich as fook and stall.

Check that the inlet manifold is fully tightened up and there are no hoses etc disconnected.

Also check you've used the correct manifold gaskets, as i've done this before on my FRST! and as Matt says deffo an air leak!
