I drove a MkII Escort the other night with a Mountune 280bhp Duratec in it and that had a welded diff....

FOOK THAT !!!

At low speed turning the car round it was like pulling the handbrake on and off...

and I bet its the same when you go into tight bends...

Great for short oval racing, especially on the loose...

But for anything else you are asking for trouble !!

You big pussy, its fine!
Only really can tell at proper low speed tight turns, and the fun always makes up for it IMO.
Tho you need to keep your guard up, writing your car off when giving it some is a lot higher possiblity

Some RWD cars it can make them understeer like a fucker tho, hence why I asked ginge exactly what he wanted it for, as it might not be what he expects.

The funny thing is watching the tyres "jump" against each other as you manouvre at low speeds, your average man on the street really cant work out whats going on

Yes I was there...

Was there until the very very end chatting to one of my customers..... and got to do some crazy do'nuts on the empty field...

But thats the benefit of having a proper Limited Slip Diff I guess.......

Left the field with a lovely big sideways on too...

But didnt see you..... OR RichPON.... unless he's been banned from Croxley as well as PF

I was speaking to a guy who does some of the Tramp Drift events about how he found welded diffs and said that the only thing that bothered him was the chirping out of junctions and the amount lift off oversteer (which he later got used to).
