With KE it could be all kinds of things mate, but most common is overboost....

What boost is it running there?

Also common is the ecu pressure transducer dying, try another one.

Plug gaps? 0.75mm?

Wiggle dist elec connection, does it seem ok?

Off to eat now but those are starters for ya

Thanks again Stu/Rich.

Ok yep plugs are set at .75 and are new bcr8es.
ecu pressure transducer ....whats that?
Dizzy connection is ok.

No boost gauge. Not sure on what its running. I just assumed that it would overboost and cut at high revs on full acceleration rather than only 3-4k everytime?????

If its likely to be over boost ill go out and undo all those little hex key studs and wind the actuator back a few turns. Like i say i was going to do that the other day, but thought cos it werent overboosting high up rev range etc it wouldnt be that!

Thanks again for help i bloody need it

Lee,
If it's going to overboost, it will do it midrange as the boost rises to it's maximum at around 3-4K. As RPM rises further, boost will generally drop off slightly rather than rise.
If it is a borderline overboost cut problem, it's quite likely that if you load up the engine gently you will get away with it - when you crack open the throttle though, you are likely to get a bit of overshoot as the boost rises quickly which may well be what is causing the overboost to cut in. Out of interest, is it any worse on a nice cool evening, than on a hot day? (generally get a tad more boost with cool dense air on a cool evening).
Adjusting the boost down a turn or two on the actuator will tell you if this is the problem.

The ECU pressure transducer is mounted inside the ECU on the end of the plastic nipple where the boost pipe connects to

Cheers again Rich. Right ill go and turn it down a tad and see. Just shows....i never knew that full boost was acheived mid range I guessed that the transducer was that so thats one thing ive got right! lol!

Again, thanks for your help.

Lee,
Pull the plug off the amal valve, that will drop the boost:

A) If the valve works
B) If its wired/piped properly.

Stu. Amal valve isnt in operation. It has just got the pipe running from the turbo to the actuator

Surely it will be easier to take out the Rclip and wind it out a few turns

Cheers Bill

Yes weegaz its chipped! Dont know what boost limit is, but this now feels like a bit more boost than my old standard s2. Before i wound boost back it was tbh suprisingly quick for a bean tin lol, but now just 'ok'
