if you are on about the /35 high torque organic one that i asume you are then it is very light just like having a standard clutch. Its beautiful like i said but if you aint talking bout that clutch then i appologize

I mean the high torque organic yes. I have the CP2000-8 at the mo. It's been fine, but i need a new cover, and im going to have more torque soon. I find the -8 pretty heavy but manageable. You tried one of these?

the -35 is around 300quid, and will do well over 300hp.

check the ap site, its the torque that most clutches cant handle hence them making the new high torque version which you should be safe with upto ...??? whatever it says on the site. But i highly recommend it and i was the first one to get this clutch from AP.

nah mine had an AP paddle in it first, then i got a l.u.k clutch and then this one. The paddle is obviously the best but it was so heavy and not good for an everyday road car

I wouldn't say its much heavier, although it does judder a bit more if you dont give it enough revs. It feels a bit more jurky but nothing like a paddel, still get that nice organic feel to it anyway.

Hope that helps,
Dan

yea, the springs in the driven plate are much beefier, so less cushioning on the up take.

Well it's in, and im not too happy

It's as light as the -8 kit, but it makes a horrible rattle as u lift the clutch and it bites - judders a little too. Going to have to rip it out and get it looked at

Rick,
Just found this old post when serching for cp2000-35 and wondering what happened then. I too am upgrading from a cp2000-8.
I'm searching for a new clutch for my zetec turbo at the moment for 350+hp that could work in a daily driver. Not sure if there is such a solution at all... Also, any recommended sources for the cp2000-35?

Had mine in for a while now...launches up brunters/trackdays and some hard drivin later it's still going strong! Good compromise imo....when i spoke to ap about it they said they could supply it with a paddle plate if i preferred because it was the cover that made it handle the torque not the plate...also that the torque figures were VERY conservative to cover themselves really. As said slightly juddery but nothin like as bad as a paddle clutch. Got mine from woodford iirc.

I asked woodford for a price already and they said they have stopped selling it because of high rate of failures...
