Like it on the bonnet (oooh-err missus), IMO it doesn't look out of place. Each man to his own and all that.

I couldn't part with mine after spending so long finding it in the first place. I can't bare to be parted with it so much I'm taking it with me to Oz when we emigrate next year. RSOC in Melbourne where we're going as well!

Keep yours, you know you'd only regret it.

How mads that mate, i have the same plan for mine.... have you ever looked into costs for shipping the car to Oz? I know what you mean about parting with the S1, especially when you put so much time, effort and money in.
I think theres allready one series 1 in Oz, plenty of mk1 and 2's that i saw around adelaide tho . Don't think that the mk3 ever made it over there other than the single series 1 that some guy imported. The Aussies are too into their bigger ford falcons n holden commodores, be great to see a series 1 passing by.... might see you down at Albert Park some day....

Top bombin!!! Aye, have looked into shipping etc and depending on who you decide to go with it costs about Ł850 to ship it, then there's roughly around Ł650 in import taxes to pay when it arrives.

Be warned!!! You have to apply for permission to export your car over there (about Ł50) in advance, because if you don't you will be fined nearly AU$12000. Also, you have to have owned the car for a minimum of a year.

Yes, aussies do like there big engined cars and mine will probably be looked upon as a "Sheila's" car as it got a tiny engine and is front wheel drive, but hey-ho!!

PM me if you want more info.

Damn!!! And i thought I'd be the first with one......

Seriously though, I can't wait to get it over there with me. Open roads, no traffic, cheaper insurance and funnily enough no MOT (Roadworthyness Cert) needed until you sell your car on (depends on which state you go to). Well looking forward to the RSOC Club meets, should be good!

On a down side, long way to come for Ford Fair and National Day...

Dare say you'll need to start stocking up on spares - lol, you know what these cars are like. If it costs a fortune now to maintain wait till we have to pay the shipping costs for parts...

Theres some mint roads over there though, great ocean road for one example, so many places to just go flat out.... it'll be awseome. I bought a Toyota Lite-ace over there, drove for three hours in victoria and ended up passing where i'd already been , for some reason they only signpost roads when it they feel like, lol. They just go on for ever........ I was down near a red neck place called Foster, it had signs in the trees reading ''f*!k off you pomme ba$*!rds'', not a place you want to get lost in never mind the car give up!!!

Think i'd give the north a miss too, don't think a roo bar would suit the s1

Cheers bud. I was after one for ages, travelled far and wide..... only to find mine less than a mile down the road. The missus sisters fella's work mate.

If you think mines good, you should check others out on here, they put mine to shame.
