can anyone help

my mums just bought a 1995 fiesta azura 1.2 and on the drive home she noticed temp gauge not working. she only worried as my dad said engine feels hot for such a short jouney

any ideas of where or what to look for

 

now sorted the wire was pulled off but the rad fan not kicking in either cheacked fuses there ok any other suggestions

 

try the fan swicth it self

 

link out the fan switch connections and if it comes on then it is the switch
