Default Smoking manifold

I have recently rebuilt my engine. When i started the car there was a lot of smoke coming from the manifold at the front of the head. It smells like burning oil and there is a LOT of smoking. I have checked the gasket and manifold everything seems alright.

Does anybody have any idea what it could be?

Cheers

It's probably exactly what you said. Just oil and grease that has got onto the manifold as part of the rebuild. So long as it doesn't use any oil and no more is dripping onto it then it will eventually burn off.
