Default advice needed.

Took my vw new beetle in for a full service 30,000 mile lastmonth at a dealers went devon at the weekend and the oil light comes on, stop and its basically empty, theres no oil leak doe'snt seem to be burnin oil either, is it just me or do ya reckon they've not even bothered changin im not a happy bunny.

My Type R eats oil due to it revving high the handbook and dealer said i should check it ever time i fill up with petrol maybe the VW is the same but they dont rev high

how long did you wait for? if its on or just below minimum then there will still be oil in the top end and will take 10mins or so to completly drain down to the sump, then check it, they may have just not put enough oil in, is the oil black or a golden colour?, just get a little 1ltr tub of oil and stick it in and keep an eye on it
