Hi every one, im considering a quick shift conversion on my xr2, does any one no if it actually does the buisness, or is just a waste of time.

 

I'v got a B&M short shift on my s1 its really tight and the gears are close, it takes a while to get used to, i kept getting fith instead of third from second for a while but got the hang of it soon enough. They are pretty good but dont think it affects gear change times much. My dad got a short shift from burton power for his escort cosworth it was just a bracket replacement that shortened the gear throw this is probably better as not to drastic good compromise between standard and the B&M and it only cost about Ł55.00. hope this helped.
