Default Ford privilege voucher

We bought a new focus in march using the employee voucher scheme and although we own the car we've been told we can't get rid of it for 9 months or ford could demand a refund.

If we sold it how would ford know that we had?

I dont think they said anythin like that to my mrs when she bought her focus with the voucher!

Dunno how they would know to b honest! perhaps they got somethin with the DVLA & they r informed when certain cars change ownership!

Yes they did say that to me.

Ford would need to be notified so that the maintenance would be valid for the new owner - at least that is what they told me.

We got told we couldnt sell the car because we would make a profit on it.

When we phoned the dealer yesterday and asked how much the voucher's are worth he told us it was 3 grand

Yeah you have to keep the car for 12 months otherwise employees could buy new cars and sell em straight on at a profit. Your voucher is worth whatever percentage off you are entitled to, so if you buy a 10K car for 7K you are entitled to 30% off in that case 3K.

its been like that for as long as can remember and your dealer should be fully aware of it.....if you do sell it on and Ford find out the employee who supplied the voucher can be sacked or loose all privilages to further discounts...... You have been warned...
