Default Help needed. Fiesta RST Engine wiring advice.

Hi,

My brother recently aquired an Escort Cabby that had been fitted with a Fiesta RST engine. It was running really roughly and not holding boost.

After some investigation he found the 'mechanic' who installed the engine had used the original EFI loom and ECU!!!

My brother has now located the correct ECU but is having problems getting the loom converted.

Can anyone assist us please. Its a lovely car and should be on the road in the weather. Currently its stuck in his garage gathering dust.

Many thanks,
Neil.

you dont need to do anything to the loom as long as you have the correct ecu for the loom you have i.e. OFAB or OFAC. you can tell by the map sensors what type you have. you also need the FRST map sensor.

IF you want to run an amal valve - you have to run a wire from the correct ecu pin.
