As above really. Got the Golf at the moment and it's my first car/project but I've seen a nice black Escort Si 1.6 (new shape) on a salvage site with light rear damage that basically looks like it just needs a new back bumper from the pics for £495. Would you sell the Golf and get the Escort or is it an inferior car? I have to admit, the Golf is fast as and seems to have been rebuilt at the front end, including either a rebuolt or a recon engine from the way it goes and sounds.
