insanely fast.

330bhp in a Dax or Caterham is mind blowing.

There are at least two users on this site with Dax rushes with cossie power and one westfield owner.

They may chip in now this is back at the top.

my rush has greys/ t34 / cams / head work etc and fwd. after about 300bhp you have trouble getting power down on 2wd although i havent tried it with soft tyres.

another problem with the rush is finding a way to get decent intercooling and engine cooling. the standard intercooler that people use in rush is cossie 4wd but the air flow is poor and since it sits 6 inches behind the engine rad its not a good choice.

also the rush with cossie weighs about 750 kg and bike engine jobs around 450-550 kg. the ultimate solution is a turbo busa or possibly a turbo 1200 kawasaki which runs about 300bhp for £3000 for the turbo upgrade. when it goes bang you get another base engine/box for £250-£400 and spend a couple of hours putting your turbo goodies onto that. you can lift the engine in and out with a peice of string. the way to go i reckon.

my car keeps up with all the bike engined ones ive met except turbo jobbies

Heh, was thinking you would need a mate to hold the steering wheel with you to combat torque steer.

Will let you know in about a year

Been in one with 410 bhp on 235 khumo's (sp ?) track day tyres (road legal) and that coped very well.

I am looking at 255 888's on a 9" rim.

The De dion rear end seems to put power down very well due to even contact patch across the tyre width.

I know somebody not far from me, he has 510Bhp but has traction control as well..........

I got rid of my TC as I needed the money

But before I made some changes to mine I was running an MSD stage 3 setup with 26psi on 803's with a T34.........

Im hoping to be the right side of 350 this time as im now using bigger injectors.........

Awesome fun

Must say i'm a bit tempted by a Caterham myself. After 9 years and a ton of money on the Escos, i feel like growing up and getting an R500 or big busa job.Maybe even that green monster that blew the noise meters out the water at Croft.I'm sure that had an AJP TVR V8 but i could'nt get a look before it was trailered off.
