Default hpi confusion..

i've just done 3 different tests on a car.

hpi say the VRM was in a total loss payout, but doesnt say when, or if its for this car.

2 other checks i've done report nothing.

the car has had 2 plates changes.

is it possible to find out when the total loss payout was, and against what car??

or findout what cars the reg plate bas been on???

Yes, there should be a number to ring HPi and find out, on the printed receipt. When you say "against what car" if you mean any other cars involved then obviously No, damn Data Protection act.....

Experian always shows previous Registration details as it obviously runs checks for the dates it was on that plate.

The 2 previous plate changes are likely to be just swapping onto the private one, then swapping back [or going onto the nearest allotted number if the original number was reregistered].

Any check that you did however would also be on the Chassis Number so don't worry
