Just wondering if anyone has done this?

How much does the set-up cost and what bits are actually needed?

You could turbo the 1.6 lump but i reckon on £6k plus at least to do it properly with low com pistons, cooler and decent management....might as well FRST it, at least you could pass MOT emmissions then as well!

Even better you Turbocharge the Puma engine using decent pistons with some "other" Ford factory rods which can hold the pressure.

I have worked on a twin turbo FWD Puma running a WRC setup with more power and Torque than we would ever need..

And totally gutless and expensive

If you just sepnd the money it'd cost on tuning the 1.6 you'd see over 150 bhp

They are already in a high state of tune and are expensive to source

The money you'd spend on finding and fitting one of those FRP lumps and then tuning further, i could get you a 1.6 and MORE power from, and that is an absolute certainty

Caterham have just announced they are using the 1.6 zetec-SE
