Are there any people on here who have a Clio 1.8 turbo conversion?
Having a bit of trouble with fitting the boost hoses on the turbo due to not much space,mainly turbo to charge cooler

some pictures

Thanks in advance

Maybe more but can't think of any more now,it's from a mate of me
i also know what a bitch it is to get to that side of the engine.
so much so, i fucked about with my exhaust manifold for about 4 weeks, kept blowing, so i broke it up for bits instead of fixing it
I used to have one of those
Non turbo tho, but I absolutely loved that car. Not owned anything since that has been as much fun to drive, including the beemer. Here's my old one:

How much have you spent turboing it?

@ mcrmatt1983:I believe the kit comes from BB Performance,we've troubles with fitting the turbo to charge cooler hose as there's so litlle space between turbo and the back of the engine that every mm is welcome.
Working on it tonight again so maybe we've a bit of luck.
@DogSmoke:It's a Grand Prix version of the Clio,only 500 made for German market to celebrate Michael Schumachers 2nd F1 World Title in 1995,very rare in Holland.Costs to build it is roughly about Ł4500 i think.

Car is running with "self made" hoses and pipes.
He's got the original ones today so,it only gets better hopefully.
Never expected it to have so much power with only 0,6bar pressure,see when it has 1,1 bar .

no vids as yet. Engine starts and runs but theres no inside as yet. Wires/electrics/alarm is everywhere. Hes spent the best part of 2 years building it ! No to everyones tastes but will imagine its a serious weapon.
Can just imagine the Chavs thinking its a Body kitted 1.2 Clio

As I said the exterior is not to everyones tastes but will be an awesome weapon when its finsihed. (and apparently its 'only' 340BHP
)

That clio is probably the best street sleeper ever. I know it sounds silly at first but think about it, anyone that pulls up next to it will piss themselves thinking "look at the twat in his chavved 1 litre clio"
It would probably be more of a shock than seeing a base model one dissapear up the road

Here's a litlle vid of the car so far.
http://videos.streetfire.net/video/9...1000608fc2.htm
It's now on 1.0 bar boost with no charge cooler and swirl pot yet.
Watch the Ford hose on the air filter
because it's LHD we've had to do some changes,kit is made for RHD

Now it's just completing the charge cooler,swirl pot + pump and then put it on a dyno for a re-map,it should run 1.1/1.2 bar then and about 245bhp @ the wheels

That's a very fast Clio!
Where can I find it on the road?
* dutch mode on *
Ik moet nogal gaan oppassen voor dat ding dus
Wat zag ik, heb je jou sierra nu ook op "groen" ? Gebruik je hem nogsteeds dagelijks?
* dutch mode off *

Try there for more 16v turbo advice. There's a few on there.
jameswrx James, sleeper means it looks like a normal everyday granny-car but with monster power. THAT does not qualify as a sleeper mate. Awesome engine conversion
and I bet it's pretty quick, but imo it is not a sleeper.

Ah ha not surprised to see a BB using Wossner
Wossner do Cossie and RS Turbo ones too, were some on ebay..
Sure Andy at BB would be happy to give advise if it is one of their kits
Clio tuning / turbo conversions seem to be increasingly popular these days, BB's low boost Clio conversion was bit of a beast (7psi IIRC) K-tec Racing have done some blinding conversions too (not sure what there 172 is putting out at the mo, at Snetterton tuner GP last year I think Dave was marketing it as the 272 conversion, that is very impressive car)

This is the only Clio high/low pressure turbo conversion in Holland afaik
The car is 99,9% ready so no longer help needed,was a ''hell'' to built but defo worth it
