Their a bitch to fit and to look right, loads of cutting and faffing and then they fuck around with the handling as their 8" wide.

Im on Coilovers already so thats a bonus, im having a few mm machined off the insides of the rims to sort the offset out then take some metal out and leaving the plastic arches there, that should be enough

They look the tits

This car was at national day last year and i was looking at how much work was involved to do this conversion and when i saw how much the owner has butchered out of the car i ran away, seriously i've pointed out in the pic their is no metal there at all.

They can also stick ot further than the arch which can earn you 3 points and a chunky fine per axle

yeah, but if you have a fair bit of room between the wheel and coilover(which you should)you could get the actual wheel machined to bring the wheel back in to a better offset.

Not to sure about machining and weakening the structure.

Bad idea and potentially very dangerous. Just buy Mondeo wheels that have the right offset to start with. They may not have the dish of the Escort Cossie rims but you'll hopefully live long enough to enjoy them
