If the rods gone flying thru the block its most likely to be a oil problem, as the crank wouldve picked up the rod and flung it sideways thru the block.

Wouldve happened regardless of the power TBH, not like you was pushing the limits of the engine at that spec.

thts the idea i was having,sadly i had yet to hook up my oil pressure gauge

as said the scooby may still be going,but he did get blown away by a old taxi
and i will be back bigger and better,scoobys are just another car on the roads,
cossies are heritage,and race bred beasts!

you will find something soon mate,dont dispair.
the oil pressure guage prob wouldnt have helped by then,it only takes a bit when you are gunning it and its all over.you prob wouldnt have caught it in time at that speed.

but far as i knew the pressure could of been low from the start off,so i may of been able to stop it
