Default do dump valves work on diesels?????

been thinking about this recently and decided to see if it works on my 406 diesel... after trying a msd and a bailyes dump valve i carnt get any sound from either?? the car does have a vacumme pump so i presume there must be vacumme there? and i have conected the small vacumme pipe from the top of the dump valve to the vacumme pipe from the brake servo(just like a s2 for instance) but no joy.

any ideas people...............

now go look at ur engine again! AFAIK diesels dont have throttle bodies, therefore it wouldnt work as per a petrol engine

no the dv's are electrical i think. the old diesels i have looked at just inject more fuel as u put ur foot down,no throttle movement, theres just a hole,no throttle body so it ALWAYS on full throttle
