Just converted a mk3 escort to efi obviosly when connecting the rev counter to the wiring on the ofab loom it only reads half. I have read the rs bible thing and says run of pin 11 on ecu but rev counter doesnt do anything then. I have been told rs 1600i clocks will cure it but my friend who has one recons that this is a myth. Any one own a car with the standard rev counter and actually have this set up working right?

A: No, you can run a wire from pin 11 on the E-DIS unit, to the back of your dash pod, to the tachometer input. This will give you a clean RPM signal.
