Default Efi Conversaion starting problem.

Converted my mk3 xr3i to efi turbo at the weekend. I have used an ofab ecu and loom and an efi flywheel for crank postion pick up. I have made a mini loom so the ecu and fuel relays are still used. The problem I am getting is there is no spark and no pulse to the injectors. The crank sensor was working fine in a 2i the day before but is second hand so will try tomorrow. I have checked all the wires using the diagrams i have and they are ok. Have also used another ofab loom and still no joy. Did start today untill i switched off and wouldnt restart any ideas anyone?

yep I'd say the CPS sensor is down as well, or at best dirty, they do get a bit dusty

Firstly do a resistance check across the CPS to test if the coil inside has broken down or not, it there is a reading, set your meter to AC volts and crank it over and you should get a reading.

With that you should be able to determine if the CPS is and good and/or if its reading the timing marks on the flywheel

Well solved one problem have a few others now Idle speed seems high cleaned idle control valve and replaced with another stilll the same though. And on boost it cuts out like an over boost but it doesnt even reach 0.5 bar before it does this. Im wondering weather the air temp sensor is correct for the ofab set up as it looks the same as ofac one with the white plug. Im going to try my mates ofab one and injector loom see what happens. Also will try fault code reading with engine running see what comes up. Any other ideas?

Sounds like a dodgy boost guage to me. Overboost cuts in at 10psi. 0.5 Bar is 7.25psi.

Only sensor differences between OFAC & OFAB is Map sensor. ACT sensor is 100% the same. It should have an alloy adaptor between the sensor and the manifold.
