Default what practical car for around 5k?

Ok just sold Lindays MGF. Ive just gone into business so i dont want a lot of money tied in a car so we are looking at getting something for around 5k...

But what? Cant decide. Looks like maybe along the golf lines but would only get a nice 1.6S or something...or a focus???

Dunno

Golf for me.

Bags more appeal, looks sporty, yet is acceptable to turn up to business appointments etc in.

The diesels will go forever, are renound for fuel economy and of course, they apparently respond well to a remap/chip for when needs must

Deffo a TDi golf

Puma's are practical! can fit 2 shopping bags in the boot, no leg room for rear passengers! What more could you want!?

Just buy it, i'm sick of the site of it Although this is pretty much the only attempt i've done at selling it since i got the ST

Should deffo be able to get a golf tdi for under Ł5k mate?

Don't bother with the 1.4/6 petrols if i was you, they're not very reliable.

1.8t/1.9tdi/2.3 are the best buys, although be warned the 2.3 is a bit of a drinker and because of that can be bought very cheap.
