my mates just got a 51 reg golf turbo and just wants it chipped from 150 to 180 brake ?? is this just a case of getting a remap or does he need a new chip . also who does it???

revo, jabba, custom code, apr all do serial port remaps, 2 mins with a laptop etc. will push the 1.8t to just short of 200@fly. Transforms the car totally.

from my experiance with my cupra r go with big boys toys lifetime guarantee and if any probs will help u out all the time for free!

but also think custom code, apr, jabba sport, engine advantages do one,stu @ m.d.

but dont belive that they can get much difference in bhp between them as there all pretty much identical some just use different boost an timmin numbers ie most common is 5-5 setting and on the cupra r went from 210bhp to 265bhp,
and my mates jabba (more money) had 7-7 setting so it got 210bhp to 270 bhp

bud-weis u should get the same 265-270bhp on ur tt same engine as the leon cupra r

 

stu done my cousin bobby_singh golf diesel.....produced 201hp and 320ft/ibs torque if i remember correctly at power engineering during a PF RR day....silenced EVERYONE
