lol i was gonna say
Christ, 3"?!
You must be pushing around 500BHP to need that kind of low backpressure.
Hope your turbo's oil seals are uprated to handle the pressure drop*
(*awaits flaming from people who actually know something about turbos...

Project ST, i'd be looking for a 3" system from turbo back with around 250-280+bhp
Dont think their would be a problem with a 3" system, maybe on a std/worn turbo it might let out some oil but unsure tbh

but the 3" is a more expensive option and only really gets used on higher
powered cars.
ive got a 3ins goose,,,,,,,,,, the problem with them though its there silenced unlike the 2.5ins ones
i only got mine cause it fits the cossie downpipe as thats also 3ins
mine aint near my d/shaft though
as my goose in on the roof of the car and the d/shafts are in the bin

Even 3in is seriously restrictive at 500bhp.
IIRC its starts to get restrictive on a cossie at jus over 400.
In an ideal world on a turbo car you dont even want to see 1psi in the exhaust.

Ok, 3" is fine for a down pipe upto 550+ bhp if well design'd. but that dont mean you wont get more BHP if a 3.5" is fitted.
And a 3" zorst after down pipe is good for at least 650 bhp is well designed again.
2.5" down pipe is fine for 350 bhp, and 2.5" exhaust is good for more,
I've seen a pulser run 400bhp on 2.5" mongoose, on good boost and didn't seem to be a problem, Also saw a mate's pulser get 296 bhp on a 2" system.
