Car forum quote of the year...
A thread asking if MX5s are too gay to own, after about 2 weeks of chitchat the thread starter has posted...
Sums that one up nicely

My mate borrowed his mums the other day and we went out in it. I've gotta admit, I didnt drive it but from where I was sitting it felt like it would be an amazing car in the right hands. Just gripped the road like a beast. I'd never own one though. Was a laugh driving round in it though. Everyone must of thought we were a couple of hairdressers going to a hair emergency the way we were driving
I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!

I had the misfortune of being given a lift in one a couple of years back with the roof down and the owner playing Spandau Ballet's 'Gold' at top volume.
One of the most embarrassing moments of my life...
...Apart from when I fell asleep on some woman's shoulder on a bus and dribbled all down her arm.

No wonder the Asbo seemed too manly for you at the 'Ring!
As mentioned on another thread I mentioned wanting an MX5 to the GF and she said I would look too gay even real gay men would beat me up.
Friend of mine had an open top Spitfire which he insited on having the hood down. My own mother called me gay for being seen in the passenger seat... yes my mother!

Although you are a motoring journalist tea maker, so that does allow you to write complete bollocks with no factual basis or reasoning
Would there be shame in having a striped caged 1 as a track car? or is that still a bit
Been looking at cars for a track car for next year and these are cheap rwd handle well and people put all sorts of engines in them a rotary engined 1 would be pritty rapid
