Default hey need ans quick and reliable plz tank you mk6 1.8 si

hello guna take my cat off my escort 1997 mk6 1.8 si guna make up a strait pipe so i can change it for when the mot due and stuff but was wonderin is there any sencors in there or anyfin like airflow etc and is there anyway anyone will no i havent got a catt without checking etc or any other probs you can think of coz to me it seems an easy way to get bout 5 to 10 break...

no the sensor is on the down pipe at the front there is nothin in the cat

yeh theres no sensors to worry about really but if u can the easiest thing to do is try and get an old cat off another escort then either bash the insides out or straight pipe on that one. thats how i done mine as i needed to weld the pipe to hold it on strong enough. an empty cat sounds pretty nice but very tinny. if u do it like this then u only got four bolts to undo and straight swap come mot time, good luck.

or alternatively you can take it to a reputable exhaust maker and have them make you up and stainless bolt in bolt out decat

probably looking at about £75-£100 tho
