Default Misfire - advice/opinions please

Well, the car had been stored for 4 years before I bought it, and it was missing very slightly, but recently seems to have got worse.

Got it thru the mot, but the guy in the testing station said the c/o was a bit high, so played with the setting on the airfilter

spoke to karl who advised to adjust temporarily (going to him on monday for full setup) but it seemed to be the same.

tried to adjust timing which did make it a good 50% better, but can still tell there is a misfire.

i've changed plugs, rotar arm and dizzy cap but still the same. pulled leads out of dizzy cap and there is still a mahoosive spark from lead to cap from all leads.

any ideas what i could have missed or does it just need a damn good setup?
