how do you undo the speedo cable from the back of the clocks?

cossie 2wd. got clock out but cable won't come off..

 

Theres like a white plastic ring which is offset, you have to push the white plastic bit to unlock it and then pull, it might be tight.......

 

If you feel around the outside of the white plastic ring you will feel two opposite positioned serated parts, squeeze here and it will distort to release the cable "bit" that sticks in the hole top hold it in.
Much the same as SAFECHAV says I just find it easier to feel for the serated bits on the ring.
