which oil for standard gearbox?

which oil for standard gearbox?
Hi guys, just had my standard gearbox rebuilt, need to know what oil to put in it? Book at work(halfords) says i need 80w/90.Is this right as it lists it for all mk4 escorts, and i thought the LSD boxes ran different grade?
