has anyone have an egt fitted to their cvh turbos ,and if so , what are your cruising , racing temps
mine were(before the last motor died) 400'c cruising and 700'c at the end of a 1/4 mile

 

From memory...


Cruising along motorway they are around 700c and flat out round track they were no more than 850c with ALS on.

 

Where are you measuring it, before or after the turbo? You want pre-turbo figures to be no higher than 850C.. If you're measuring post-turbo, then on the safe side assume a 200C temperature drop across the turbo..

 

the egt concerned is about 30cm bleow the turbo

 

Then that's a little too hot.. on the safe side you dont to see more than 650C where your thermocouple is..
