Bailey series 1 or 2 header tank?????

Just use sense really, see where the level is now, and just fill it up or empty to the level you think it was before
When you put new header tank on, leave cap off until about 2-3 rotations on the fan cycle
This is what I do and works fine, remember to check your anti-freeze/water level
Get it wrong, runs too cool or too hot...

Ok so basically take the old one off, put the new one on with about the same amount of water in and start the car with the lid off until the fan kicks in? Is that correct or am I missing something? Sorry just wanna make sure before I do it......
