Default Bailey series 1 or 2 header tank?????

Hi there can someone tell me if the series 1 and 2 bailey header tanks are the same? Also if Im replacing my header tank on my series 2 how do I do it? Do I need to bleed the system and if so how do I do it? Any help is gladly appreciated... Many thanks....

series one has level sensor on side mate, only difference i think, maybe cap different??

How do I know if on the series 2 one when theres enough water in or not enough as the case may be....

Just use sense really, see where the level is now, and just fill it up or empty to the level you think it was before

When you put new header tank on, leave cap off until about 2-3 rotations on the fan cycle

This is what I do and works fine, remember to check your anti-freeze/water level

Get it wrong, runs too cool or too hot...

Do i need to bleed the sytem if replacin the header tank? And if so how???

By doing as James says and leaving the cap off, you will bleed the system - but it's not normally required.

Ok so basically take the old one off, put the new one on with about the same amount of water in and start the car with the lid off until the fan kicks in? Is that correct or am I missing something? Sorry just wanna make sure before I do it......
