Default s2 zetec bottom end????

hi everyone,

new to this site so be nice!!!!!

i'm looking to convert my s2 cvh bottom end to the more reliable zvh bottom end........please could anyone give me some information on the way of going around this....what needs to be done etc..etc...and who u ould recommend...live in the southeast so anywhere near there

I think you have it backwards.. the CVH bottom end is fine, it's the head that's a piece of shit and eats cams for breakfast.. but of course, increasing displacement is never a bad thing!

thats true, but the zvh bottom end can be good for 220bhp, was told that a zetec bottom end should bolt straight on and that all i had to do was change the headgasket?????

The CVH and Zetec bottom ends are near identical, the Zetec was based around a CVH........

Its a lot of work to fit a Zetec bottom end, blanking off oil ways, having the face machined flat, blocking breathers, water pump adapter plates, drilling oil returns, modifying engine mounts, if you do a 2.0 litre you have to a get a 1.8 sump and pick up.

If 220 is what you want a CVH will do that easyyyyyyyyyy
