as above my bros escort turbo is takin a while to start from cold think it may be the cold start valve just after a 2nd opinion or any other theories

it may be the metering head or the cold start solinoide(sp)

is it an S1 or 2

could be a lot of things. First check is to see if metering flap is pulsing.

 

yeah it starts n runs fine just takes a while to fire up

 

Taking time to start cold most of the time is the cold start valve flooding the engine. If its currently connected try whipping it off and seeing how that goes.

If thats no better then as Rick says see if the flap pulses while cranking
