Hi i know i am sort of new but please help !!! My rev counter on my FRST has stopped working overnight, does anyone know of anything obvious or common that goes wrong with them

Loose wire?

 

yep your in luck.look towards the right hand side of the engine bay up by the jack bolted to the inner wing of the car ul find a little black box.its held on by a 8mm bolt i think and is about half the size of a small matchbox.its called a suppressor.change this and it should solve the problem
