i noticed them talking about banning ufc, it would only go underground, then there would be no medical team, no paramedics, no structure. to be honest im a huge fan of ufc, i think mma is the future of martial arts, and combat sports in genral, i cant wait for july 8th, tito ortiz v ken shamrock, its gona be all out war, the first fight between them was my favorite fight in ufc history.

he was absolutely awsome. would like to see him fight the deaf guy (hamill) i think. The middle weight fight earlier was a cracker. Was waiting for the ginger guy to take a beating all the series. Fair play though it was an even fight and they both got contracts.
We always have to watch the events the next evening on bravo.
Anyone know how we can see it live ? Id be willing to pay
I have a new found respect after the way ortiz treated his fighter in ufc3 so i want him to beat shamrock

Boxing is actually FAR more Dangerous in my view. Boxing has continued blows to the head for 12 rounds as opposed to a couple of punches, knees, kicks and then some wrestling and a choke...

That Backyard fight is PONY. This video is not... a simply unbelievable will to win from both men.
Gannon said after he came out of hospital that he had nothing but respect for Kimbo and that he 'team' let him down with the silly rules of that fight.

Shocking isn't it
Alot of the damage was done early with the two Guillotine standing chock holds apparently. Would have really really taken it out of Kimbo.
He does very well considering he has no real experience in MMA

tbh theres not a lot of mma in there though lee, not one kick or elbow and an uproar at a few knees (explain??), some holding yeah but thats only a small part
i like to see toe to toe, ufc annoys me when its on the floor so this gannon kimbo fight was very good in that respect
still gobsmaked how they manage 10 mins of it, a 3 min round in training on the pads fucks me up and as mr lee says "boards dont hit back"
check this...

love the move at 2:30, pure class, ballsy as fuck to turn your back like that, straight out of the movies that one

Mat, I didn't say there was alot of MMA in there. and there is a reason.
basically that Kimbo dude offered to fight anyone anywhere anytime... so Gannon said ok and flew over to fight.
Now Kimbo's team were not THAT stupid and knew that their fighter would get kicked to death or put in a choakhold by an experienced UFC or MMA fighter like Gannon.
So they insisted on a few rules and Gannon agreed on them.
1. No kicking - but they also 'meant' no knees BUT did not specify (hence the uproar when Gannon knees him)
2. No Groundwork - as Kimbos team did not want him getting choaked out. However they did not bank on gannon using a standing Choakhold
Gannon was an experienced UFC fighter with alot of MMA skills where as Kimbo is just a backyard brawler. Thats why I think Kimbo did well!
Two very TOUGH guys

gypsys have been bare knuckle fighting for years, although theres not much skill in it if you ask me, doesnt take much brain power to stand there and knock 3 bells of shite out of someone.
they'll never ban ufc as its becomming to popular and making to much money and even if they did it would only move down to mexico, the whole brutality arguments been thrown around for years for boxing but thats never been banned, govenments stand to loose to much money to ever ban it and if ufc keeps going the way it is the same will apply there.
ufc's become very tame compared to its early days but its had to in order to be seen as a "professional sport" which i would say has been for the better.
it wont be long till sky sports catch on and start showing it when the bravo contract is up so that should promise some ppv shows etc.
