I believe a simple vernier pulley on the exhaust cam can see up to 10bhp increase due to the engine being de-tuned for emissions.

If you speak to Dave Colledge at Retro Ford he will be able to give you more information on this mod as he's done it on a couple of his customers cars and he may even stock the pulley.

A big ol' shot of laughing gas. Cheap, simple and instant power that can be removed when you sell the car.

TBH the biggest gain for your money is Nos. There very little power to be found from the ST170 engine with the money you have to spend. Most modified ST170's are struggling to make more than 185bhp

I would look into a 25bhp nos kit if it was my money

Thats a lot more than Ł1500....you'll need new management to run throttlebodies, they work of a TPS not MAF

http://www.vortechsuperchargers.com/...svt_focus.html

Increase your horsepower from 170 to 276 and torque from 145 to 204 ft/lbs
Try sending them an email if you get no where or get redirected to the uk supplier who wants to charge you the same in Ł's as it is in $ let me know as have a mate over there and when your ready will see what we can do
