My fiesta turbo keeps leakin oil from the sump i think! its had a new sump on it n the sump gaskets been done about 5 times now but continues to leak oil. it seems to be the same amount of flow all the time! can anyone help me here cos im gettin pissed off with it now

 

them gaskets are a coont

gota put them on dry, no sealant and make sure its not done up too tight to crush the gasket

 

Iv had ppl goin on about back pressure or summert sayin its a sign of a nackered engine and that it will just keep blowin gaskets???

 

if all ya breathers are blocked ect then there will be pressure built up in the crank case and yes this can cause gaskets to blow n leak

but with regarding you sump gasket i reckon its just a case of fitting it properly as like i said before there a coont, as many ppl end up making serval atemps to fit them

where abouts is it leaking? Flywheel end of the crankshaft by any chance?

 

From the sump i think???

 

You need to identify exactly where its leaking from. You may have blown a crankshaft oil seal or something like that.

 

Iv had an lsd box put init n my mechanic said he checked there n it wasnt leakin from there!!!!

 

Doesn't mean it hasn't failed since the box was fitted.........

My fiesta turbo did this, Did the gasket every day, In the end we put a breather on the sump, Think it was down to the engine being wanked, Too much crank case pressure

 

Did it stop leakin oil then after u put a breather in the sump?
