Default What's the best meal you've ever had?

Can't chew at the moment due to having wisdom teeth removed and am trying to think of the first meal i'm gonna have when i'm fixed. Have had to sit through a BBQ, watch paul eat take out Pizza, sat through my friend's birthday party at a Tex Mex restaurant and numerous accounts of KFC in my face while i've managed half a bowl of soup so it needs to be good.
Any suggestions?

Ouch!

Wisdom teeth are a bit of a bugger. When I bust one of my teeth I had a temporary crown and it was really awkward to eat with so lived on mash for about a week whilst the proper crown was made.

Bowl of bangers and mash with fried onions and really thick gravy.

Katie: That's where i had them taken out...see my post on wisdom teeth. I love Phoenix on the Hill and am ashamed to say that we're on first name terms with the lady who owns it and the funny guy with the glasses. It's an all you can eat now too!!!! was there Friday before last for a friend's birthday, about twenty of us. As for the escort i'm not sure who's that was? How you doing anyway?

Stu.H: At the moment everything is going through a straw!!!! Have only managed soup and yoghurt since last monday and it's killing me. I'm wasting away...not! Good way to loose weight though i guess. Can't open my jaw more than an inch either.

Rhys: Just kidding!

if its any consolation about ur teeth when i was abit younger i had 4 teeth pulled out, 2 either side of my front teeth so i looked like bugs bunny and i didnt get a brace!!!! soup all the way!!! hehe katie x

Just what I was thinking.................

Best meal would have to be a massive plate of King Prawns in Sweet & Sour sauce, with fluffy yellow rice, Salad & Chips washed down with a bottle of expensive red wine......Had exactly that on holiday last week, mind you had a lovely full English & a massive mixed Grill too........

Oooh, Sczechaun (spelling?) king prawns are good. Has anyone ever had fortune prawns? They're battered king prawns in a honey and mustard sauce you can only get from a chinese restaurant. Katie they do them at the Phoenix if you like seafood?
I'm still not sure what the first meal i'm gonna have is?

A nice thick fillet steak with garlic mushrooms, and prawns and sour cream on top
with onion rings salad chips etc.
Then Chocolate malteser pancakes for desert.( Large pancake with icecream maltesers, flakes, cream, choc sauce) get the picture.

Its got to be this fish dish that I had at the restaurant at Benedicts (hotel) in Belfast. Its not on the menu anymore but IIRC it was chunks of monkfish, seabass and salmon, on a skewer with scallops, mussells etc, with a chilli and ginger dressing. I had their garlic potatoes with it and it really was amazing, quite possibly the best meal I have ever eaten.

For interest the current menu is here:

http://www.benedictshotel.co.uk/menu.htm

Wish I was there now...

Cheers for the suggestion Weevil. If i'm ever in Belfast then i'll try and hunt the place down.

Tiff, you're just nasty! even if i could open my jaw more than an inch i wouldn't touch that before 5 pints. Ewwww.
