Default s1 samco fitting????

anyone had problems fitting the 4 peice boost set of samco's to thier car?

i brought mine for £110 from burton but cant get 2 to fit.

Got the one to the turbo and the long charge carrier to fit.
but the small one at the top of the carrier, and the intercooler to head wont fit.

also how do you clean the buggers?

Have you got the turbo one & the similar shaped one the right way ?
The straight one should be a piece of... to fit tho

Cleaning: use either some Armorall spray, or a mate swears by cillit bang stuff

Here's the burton pic:

Which is the second hose you're having trouble with (not the small charge carrier item)

The top hose goes from the intercooler to the bottom of the turbo
The second hose goes to airbox to turbo

The only hose I had ot slightly cut was the intercooler to turbo hose as it didn't quiter sit right, and needed adjusting/cutting on a slant to get it to sit better.

Any joy yet?

The small one should be easy. Don't know what to suggest there. Does it seem to be too small diameter ot fit on? Manifold side, carrier side, or both. Perhaps lighlty smear a bit of vaseline or oil just ot see if this will help it slip over. Only need a small amount.

Seem to remember my turbo side of the other hose also sat on a strange angle & had to cut it acros to sit flush with the turbo housing.
If you do cut it, do it a bit at a time otherwise you may take too much off and then it won't fit properly & keep coming off or sit at another wrong angle.

Managed to do it in the end, hard work.

But still drops the revs and dies. Thought changing the hoses would help.

i dont want to take mine away from being standard, ive kept all my standard hoses and back lights, but wouldnt mind adding in the interior.

White dials were already in. I added the A-pillar pod & boost gauge, and other interior changes which I had from my S2 (which can easily be put back to standard before people bite me )

Piece of piss mate. Fits really well down the side of the dash and two screws further up to hold it in place.
