Default Just bought myself a project cosworth

Hi there, im new here but not new to fords had loads but this is my first turbo, know a bit about them, I have just bought a 2wd cosworth rolling shell which basically needs, engine, loom, gearbox and ecu to get running again, bodywork is ok and has leather recaros& konis too, not bad i thought.

need to know a few things about cosworths really is the engine & block the same from the 2wd & 4wd therefore making the only difference the gearbox?

what block should i be looking for my saph? its a g plate and 2wd looking for standard power from it till funds are up so what engine should i be looking for colour etc.and ecu?

Are the engine looms from all saphs the same ? or are the 2wd and 4wd ones different? would a 3dr one fit?

really trying just to see what my options are for sourcing the required parts to bring this car back to life

all help is greatly appreciated

thanks

craig

200 block was made with thicker walls for the extra stress of 4x4 so stronger 205 block should be good for 400 ish bhp though and dont no m8 add me to msn as dont want to brake the seller rules on here

If you're going for standard power (not >400bhp), you should go for a 4wd cilinderhead/exhaust manifold/turbo exhaustside, this will prevent you have to use a turbodamper..
they have risks of pulling your exhaust manifold from the head
