i was taking the rear drum off the wifes frst, and on the frs thers one 29mm nut that holds the drum on, it goes on in reverse thred, well what a job i had taking that off used a massive bar and still couldent get the other side off to have a look at the shoes, should it be that tight? the book says it should be 290 n/m but god thats tight , do peeps just guess it or should you always use a torque wrench?

opps,you dont undo the hub nut,4x 17 mm bolts behind the hub,unadjust the hand brake cable,will slide off nice and easy

 

dident no that but ive used a torque wrench to put it back on again, i did unajust the brake cable down tho..
