Default Turbo conversion S2 to S1

Has anyone put a s2 mfi turbo lump into a mk3 escort before ?

Are there any bits i need to look out for ?

Also they have different intercooler piping, can i use the s2 piping and s2 intercooler ? or do i have to switch everything to s1 ?

gear box mounts r different... u usin mk 3 or mk4 gear box???

engine mounts are different too i think....

awot intercooler u usin?

s1/s2??? standard or after market?

S1 radiator does not have connection for turbo coolant feed.

Ive got two complete whole cars ie the turbos complete and the xr3s complete. I was going to use the standard 4 speed box just to keep it a bit original.

Intercoolers an aftermarket pace jobby just till i can afford a front mount.

Could i get the turbo running in the mk3 with all the bits i have or do i need to sorce extra bits ?

hmmmmmmmmm


think u can use all the s2 engine turbo rad IC and managment... but need to use S1 box roll bar etc....

also need to use xr engine mounts an s1 gear box mounts...

i think!

Sweet! So i only need to track down some series 1 gearbox mounts ? even though im keeping the standard box ?

If your keeping the standard mk3 box you wont need new gearbox mounts.

Wheres theres a will theres a way, MK3 gearbox will make your life easier, ive got a S2 rad and IC in my MK3 cabby, if you use a S1 rad it is very simple to run water cooling off the standard rad, just pipe work. piece of piss to fit to fit the S2 rad though, engine mount is the same, gearbox mounts are different becuase the box is different.

What do you think a S1 is? A MK3 Escort i believe

the alternator r diff 2 m8 wiring wise -ifink??

Alternator wiring is exactly the same, i'm not even sure if S1's had a 70A item, pretty sure they are 55A. Bigger will never hurt though
