my grandfather has a little lack of hearing, and would like to record subtitles!! but noone makes a recorder that can do it no more, he had an old video unit that could do it but its broken and really not worth taking appart as i think knowers soldered it before he built the arc!

anyone help?

 

He really should get sky plus

 

Get him a freeview box and you can record them on a vcr

on sky if you enable subtitles it does record them as i done it by accident once and fucked up a film for the missus
