t34s old hat now! Remember OZ, Better turbo's out there.

Good value tho, pick one up for Ł300 easy and simple to fit (think scc & nms do elbow). Need a good spec (head and cam) and power will be higher up.

Ah in that case no point being interested as I don't want that sort of power. Happy with me 175ish for time being, but even if I go for more bhp I don't want over 230/240 anyway

I think that's what most owners of high powered RS Turbo's thought and now look where some of us are

funny the goalposts have moved soo much recently.

290bhp would have been the most powerful RST a while back!

Yeah understand all of that, but still think that 230bhp in a VERY well set up (engine and suspension wise) with sensible and trick mods will out do a lot of these "bigger power" RST's and a fair few Cossies/Scoobs etc...

I know my last S1 which was about 140bhp used to beat my mates 165bhp S2 all day long. Not on the straights as him having more bhp made it pull away quicker, but I used to cain him on the bends and roundabouts cos my suspension was set up perfectly

Also been in a couple (and driven) with over 250bhp and a couple with jsut under 250bhp and the driveability is a lot better in the sub 250bhp cars IMO....

Disagree there. My car had enough grip in the dry, and handled very well indeed. It was a good all round package. It used to spin up a bit in 2nd, but still moved forward and by the time you were in 3rd wheelspin wasn't an issue.

In the lower gears yeah its nigh-on impossible to get the power down, still damn good fun though and you can push stage 3 cossies along the motorway in 4th and 5th

Now that the T34 is on mine I find that I get hardly any wheel spin as the turbo comes in that much later taking away the unnecessary wheel spin that I had with my stage 3 T3 that I used to have.

It just seems so much better suited to my engine

pmsl at the moving goalposts

Been there before. Once I realised I had 150bhp I wanted 200bhp and thought that would be plenty. I got 200bhp and thought 250bhp would be nice but deffo no more. Now I'm at 250bhp and guess what I'm thinking?

Same here! No more pointless wheelspin.

So with no wheelspin and 290bhp how comes you only manage 15 sec quarters ?

Cheers
